A fight between David Price and British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is a possibility, as purse the purse bids were expected to be lodged today. Price is the mandatory challenger after beating John McDermott by a 1st round TKO last month. Fury was thought to be vacating his British title in order to avoid having to take the risky fight against Price. Fury also had the Commonwealth heavyweight title and is expected to get a world title shot in 2012 or early 2013 against one of the Klitschko brothers. A loss to Price would foil those plans. Price, 28, even if he were to beat Fury, likely wouldn’t rush into a fight against one of the Klitschkos because Price still has a lot of flaws in his game that he needs to fix before he faces the Klitschkos or other top world level opposition.
