Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12 KO’s) says he plans on studying the third fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez to use some of the things that worked for Marquez in that fight when Bradley faces Pacquiao on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bradley said to eastsideboxing.com’s On the Ropes Boxing Radio Program “Marquez made adjustments and came back in the fight and put up a heck of a fight. I’m definitely going to try and use some of the tactics that he used in the fight to help me with my game plan, but then again I also want to throw a little bit of me in there and take chances.”

Bradley doesn’t necessarily need to copy the things that Marquez used to dominate Pacquiao, because he’s so beatable at this point now that his legs are pretty much gone. He can’t move that well and mostly shuffles around the ring looking to throw his combinations. What Marquez did was counter Pacquiao each time he’d throw anything. This led to Pacquiao not punching as much, and his trainer Freddie Roach has no answers for him to solve Marquez’s style, just like Roach didn’t the previous time they fought in 2008 and the time before that in 2004. Roach seems to come up empty when Pacquiao can’t overpower guys.
